Location: Americus, GA Term of Service: September 1, 2008 - July 30, 2009 Position Summary: Youth United is an exciting program that engages youth, age 5-25, from throughout a community to sponsor and build a Habitat house. The program is designed to develop youth leaders, promote diversity, involve homeowner youth and promote understanding of Habitat's mission while providing a house for a family in need. Over ninety affiliates across the US have Youth United programs, and the number grows every year. Find out more at www.habitat.org.youthprograms/youthunited. Requirements: Youth United Coordinators support Youth United groups as well as recruit new affiliates to the program. You will: -contribute to the vision and sustainability of the Youth United program as well as assigned tasks; -write and edit Youth United resources; -train affiliate staff, volunteers, and community youth; -present and exhibit at workshops and conferences;
